Mums and Mothers Clubs Australia
Pty Ltd ("Mums Club") is committed to providing you with the highest
levels of customer service. This includes protecting your privacy. Mums Club is
bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
and Privacy Amendment Act 2004
which sets out a number of principles concerning the protection of your
personal information. Further

Set out below is information that Mums Club is required
to communicate to our customers. We recommend that you keep this information
for future reference. This information does not restrict Mums Club' rights
under the Privacy Act in any way.
Mums Club
Mums Club, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Four Quarters Innovations Pty Ltd,
and is responsible for the Mums Club messaging, event management, address book,
directory, information and advertising services.
Your personal information
Personal information held by Mums
Club may include your name, date of birth, profession, interests, current
address, telephone/mobile phone number, e-mail address, username, password,
secret question and answer, the number of children you have, and for each of
them their names, date of birth and gender. We also hold details of your
Mums Club services, including their status.
If you choose not to provide us with certain
personal information, we may not be able to provide you with the services you
require, or the level of service on which we pride ourselves.
Occasionally, you may need to provide personal
information about other individuals to Mums Club (eg
people you add to your Contacts, if you choose to 'invite a friend' to join
Mums Club, or 'inform' someone of the creation of a group). If so, we rely on
you to inform those individuals that you are providing their personal
information to Mums Club and advise them that we can be contacted for further
information (see 'How
to contact us' below).
How we collect personal information
Mums Club collects personal information in a number of ways,
including:
- directly
from you, when you submit information to us through our website (eg by the proces of
'joining' either yourself or your group, via email or cookies);
- from our own records of how
you use our services; or
- when
legally required to do so.
How we use your personal information
Your personal information may be used in order to:
- verify your identity;
- assist you to subscribe to
our services;
- provide the services you
require, including directory services, through a number of media;
- administer and manage those
services, including charging, billing and collecting debts;
- make changes to your profile;
- respond to any queries or
feedback you may have;

services provided to you could be improved;
- conduct appropriate checks
for credit-worthiness and for fraud;
- research and develop our

Also, your personal information is collected so
Mums Club can promote and market its services to you. We do this to keep you
informed of our products, services, special offers or products we believe you
will find valuable. If you do not want us to promote and market our products,
services and special offers to you are able to unsubscribe to these services
via your Profile, where
you may choose not to receive emails from Mums Club.
Mums Club' web site
Mums Club provides products and
services via our web site. When you visit our site, our web servers record
anonymous information such as the time, date and URL of the request. This
information assists us to improve the structure of our web sites and monitor
their performance.
Mums Club may use 'cookies' on our web site.
Cookies are an industry standard and most major web sites use them. A cookie is
a small text file that our web sites may place on your computer. Usually,
cookies are used as a means for our web sites to remember your preferences. As
such, cookies are designed to improve your experience of our web sites.
In some cases, cookies may collect and store
personal information about you. Mums Club extends the same privacy protection

able to access certain areas of our web sites or take advantage of the improved

Mums Club also collects Internet Protocol (IP)
addresses. IP addresses are assigned to computers on the internet to uniquely
identify them within the global network. Mums Club collects and manages IP
addresses as part of the service of providing internet session management and
for security purposes.
Acts in the course of journalism
Mums Club commits to the
Australian Press Council Privacy Standards (available at http://www.presscouncil.org.au/)
in relation to material prepared by Mums Club, its employees and its agents in
the course of journalism.. Mums Club publishes some
material which is licensed to it by other organisations.
Mums Club will take reasonable steps to ensure that each organisation
which supplies it with material for publication has publicly committed to
standards for the purpose of section 7B(4)(b) of the
Privacy Act 1988. If Mums Club receives a privacy related complaint relating to
any material supplied to it by another organisation,
then it will formally request that organisation to
deal with the privacy complaint in a fair and efficient manner.
Third party sites
You may click-through to third
party sites from our sites in which case we recommend that you refer to the
privacy statement of the sites you visit. Mums Club' collection statement and
privacy policy apply to Mums Club' web sites only and Mums Club assumes no
responsibility for information and content of third party sites.
Content which you post to forums and message boards
Mums Club site provides users at various times
with services such as chat rooms, forums, message boards and new group. Please remember that any information you
disclose in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise
caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. Where you choose to provide personal
information directly to another member or third party, Mums Club has no control
or liability in respect of the use for which such person may apply your
information.
Help us to ensure we hold accurate information
Mums
Club takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that the personal information
we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, the
accuracy of that information depends to a large extent on the information you
provide. That's why we recommend that you:

personal information, subject to some exceptions allowed by law. If you would
like to do so, please let us know. You may be required to put your request in

Mums Club reserves the right to charge a fee for searching for, and
